A large-scale drug awareness effort in Italy has gone beyond over one million drug-prevention booklets distributed in recent weeks. The initiative forms part of the Truth About Drugs campaign, which aims to provide clear information about commonly abused news eu law substances and their short- and long-term effects.
Approximately five hundred volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in cities, neighbourhoods and local businesses. The campaign focuses on raising awareness before drug use begins, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a understandable way.
The campaign is connected to broader humanitarian initiatives supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
